I’m not impressed, unless it’s a multiple pass render and/or you have tons of pre-processing. (Still beats my first 60:1 MpegII encodes when i started DVD making 🙂
What are you putting in? Do you have fast drives?
Cinemacraft (on PC) is (depending on the input codec) up to 5 times faster than RT (5 minutes for a 25 minute clip).
This is on a dual dual 3 gigPC with fast drives.
Uncompressed avid qtRefs in Pal are 2 times RT.
And i never get over 50% CPU use, so the machine is free enough to do other work…I’m not familiar with Bitvice, but i would think it should be faster on an octocore…
