    Hey gang,

We having to upgrade a system and I have a question for you. Does anyone use the Apple Dual-Channel 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI Express Card? I ask because its about $400 than the ATTO Celerity card. Both are 4 gig cards, the ATTO is a single channel card whereas the Apple is a dual channel.

    Any thoughts?

I have the Apple one…works well. Also used the ATTO card…but don’t know how to compare. They both work.

    $400…what? less, more?

    Thanks, Shane…

You know how it is today… clients are easy to come by but getting money from them is like squeezing wine from a turnip.

By the way, the ATTO dual channel card is about $1200 on B&H’s website, compared to Apple’s card which is $600.

Imagine that, Apple has something cheaper than someone else…

I’ve had engineers swear upon Atto and blast LSI cards as junk (LSI makes the Apple branded gear).

I’ve got a quad channel 4GB Apple card that hasn’t missed a beat in 2 years. We’ve got some Atto cards too. From my perspective there’s nothing to justify Atto’s price.
