    Indeed.

Well as great as it looks the camera frame is locked. If it could do it with a hand held camera interview I’d be really impressed.

Speaking of impressive Adobe tech if anyone hasn’t tried the Warp Stabilize effect in After Effects CS5.5 it can do some pretty amazing things in a few minutes that could take all day with trackers. My jerky hand held moves have often been made too smooth. I have to throttle back on the smoothing to match other shots.

Seems like an improved version of Avid’s FluidMorph transition.

You know there’s a lot going on at Adobe when the Adobe guy doesn’t know about this. Pretty interesting – thanks for sharing.

Neat. I’ve always found myself taking longer trying to smooth those edits than I do cutting the interview. Thanks for posting.

I like. See Apple, innovation. Not mutation.

If that feature was in FCPX it would have been slated for taking away from the craft of editing 🙂

    Now you’re just being silly…

No one is saying everything that FCX offers blows.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if this was introduced in X into every single edit and you have to hold down a key to prevent it from being an auto-feature….

[Steve Connor] “If that feature was in FCPX it would have been slated for taking away from the craft of editing :)”

I can’t help myself, but I thought the same. It does add a certain level of automation that FCPX is slammed for, and I’m sure this feature will get defended in some other light. It’s a shame, really. They are all just tools that might make our job easier so I can go home at normal times of the day, or elevate the work to a higher quality.

Seamless edits could still be a useful tool to a lot of people, but I did think they very thought you did, Steve.

No offense, Adobe it’s not about the tool. Keep up the good work, love what you’re doing with tracking tools/roto brush.
