OT – 8mm Film to DVD
All,
I have about (100) 8mm film reels(3″) that I want to convert to DVD. I would like to do this for a Christmas present and I thought the experts on this forum would be able to guide me. I guess I have two options:
One – if there is equipment that I can buy to do it myself, please advise what I need to buy and from where.
Two – send them to a service that does this. If I do this, is there a reputable service/company you would recommend and what, if anything, should I ask or know before I do this?

Roger Evans is recognized on several Vegas forums as being one of the best at doing this.
It’s your choice whether you want to buy the gear or have him do it for you. -
I can 2nd the recommendation for MovieStuff and Roger Evans. We use his equipment for our conversion services. His equipment is great. I am sure his conversion services are good as well. If you want done for Christmas, now is a good time. The Christmas rush usually begins mid-October. If you wait till after Thanksgiving it may be tough to get done.
