Using OSX 10.6.2 with numerous applications including Final Cut 7.01 and editing with Sony XDcam footage and a (blackmagic decklink).

On a daily basis I am getting the screen fade to gray and then the demand that I hold the restart button. My first reaction was “THIS IS HAPPENING ON A MAC?!”

Used disk utility and disk warrior to no avail. Primarily this happens with Final Cut while exporting, but also Compressor and even DVD Studio Pro.

Anyone know what’s up with this? Did Mac sleep with some PC and get infected with the frequent crash syndrome??

Gray screen of death is normally a hardware/driver issue.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling all drivers.
