Just for those crazy souls considering playing with OS X 10.11 now it’s in public beta, I have it installed on my Macbook Air and I can report that FCPX says Isotope RX as an incompatible plugin and removes it, and Hawaiki Keyer can’t render a preview to the viewer.

Looks like Apple have made some serious changes under the hood for the next update.

We all know the rules about upgrading an OS before you verify all plugins etc work but you never know… an idle moment and two or three whiskies later it can suddenly it seem like a good idea…

lol… yeah. New OS + NLE not updated for New OS = pain and confusion. 😉

Generally speaking, plugins can break just due to something as minor as an OS’s update requiring a slightly different preference string. So yeah I would suggest very strongly installing betas on a separate partition to avoid precisely this sorta thingy.

Indeed. Step away from the Update All option.

And run far from the update in the background and just surprise me in the morning option. Who thought that was a good idea!?
