First off Im a complete beginner so Im maybe not giving certain aspects the correct terms so for that I apologise if I confuse you.

I’ve rendered my animation in picture viewer, I’ve noticed that whilst it’s rendering in the history tab next to the resolution column there is one with just “R” I assume that stands for “rendered”?

when rendering they turn from orange to green and at the end of the rendering only say the last 20% are green and the former ones are all now grey, thus not allowing me to save animation as a .mov

Im imagining what Im doing is rendering them all but say not having enough memory for my computer to remember every render frame? If so how do I do them seperate to then save my animation in parts and then stitch together as one? Or is it something far more complicated?

Any help on this would be much appreciated, thank you

    Matthew

You can still render the gray-dot frames to a movie file if you want. The green-dot frames represent those are are stored in RAM so they can be played back in real time — similar to AE’s RAM player. The gray-dot files are not in RAM but they are saved to disk in a temporary file. The temporary files are purged when you close the application to keep Cinema from filling up your hard drives.
