Have you ever heard of this? I am running After Effects 6.5 and I cannot get the full functionality of the option key. For example when I hold the option key and click a stopwatch, it just adds a key frame, it doesn’t open the expressions. This is driving me crazy. I would hate to have to reinstall because of all my plugins. any clue as to why this is happening. It’s not my keyboard because the option key works in other apps.
    Thanks.

I think I know what the problem is. You are probably option clicking the Key Frame icon in the Effects Controls Window (F3), which sets a key frame and not a expression. To add an expression you need to go to the Timeline window, highlight your layer, twirl down the effect controls, and then option click the control you want to add an expression to. I had this problem when I first got into AE.

    Cheers
