Optimising ReelSmart Motion Vector Pro & C4D’s Motion Vector Multi-passes
Hi guys
I’m new to RSMB Vector Pro. I have a good idea of using object buffer data for mattes, but what I’m concerned about is the motion scale option relating to the ‘contrast’ of the outputted motion vector passes.
In C4D’s help section, it states:
“Use this setting to define the maximum vector length when rendering a Multi-Pass motion vector. If the setting made is too small, clipping will occur; if this setting is too large, the result will be inaccurate.”
How can I tell when it is too high and too low?
Is there an Xpresso workflow that can relate the motion scale percentage to my 30FPS project settings and the distance between my camera and it’s target object?
The reason I mention the camera’s target distance is due to the thought that my motion vector pass will surely need to be more detailed when the target is closer…
Some image examples of the motion scale being too high and too low would be helpful for reference, but ideally I’d love to figure out this Xpresso system…
Cheers!
Hayden
