  I am transferring several decades of 8mm DV tapes to digital, and I’m at the point where I need to think about what format to render to. (I have Vegas Pro 16.)

  Several random questions:

  > What video format (and storage format) would be best to view on a smart TV?
  > What format best for viewing on a Windows PCs?
  > What format will have the most longevity (given constant changes)?
