So, I’ve seen many optical flow threads, but none seem to fit my particular problem.

After I have analysed the clip and play it back at around 10% speed, I get a kaleidoscope-like effects that just looks ugly. Optical flow in motion seems to be a very automatic procedure, and I can’t seem to find any settings I can tweak apart from the speed percentage. Does anyone know of any settings I can tweak to get a decent looking optical flow slow motion or some way in which I can get smooth slow motion using optical flow?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tim

Results completely depend on the footage, not really anything you can do about it but shoot something designed to be slowed down that much – locked down camera, one subject moving, no background movement…

Ah, okay. It’s actually game footage from a first person perspective, so I can’t really change the angle, but I think I will experiment with some live-action footage.

Thank you for the swift reply.
