Opening mp2 files in PPro
I tried to open an mp2 file, assuming that this is a format that PPro 1.5 recognizes, but I got the message, “file format not supported.”
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but is there a way to import an mp2 file into PPro 1.5 or to somehow convert it to a file format that PPro will accept?

PremierePro is a DV AVI NLE, to edit Mpeg2 you need third party hardware or software plugins, Main Concept https://www.mainconcept.com has some, also there are utilities that will convert Mpeg2 to DV, but you are going to loose some resolution when converting as Mpeg2 is more compressed than DV.
