    Hi,

I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 8 along with Sony Sound Forge 7 and 10. I don’t need both and only want to use Sound Forge 10 as my Audio Editor. When I want to edit any audio, Sound Forge 7 pops up as my audio editor, not Sound Forge 10. This is what shows as my audio editor under the audio tab:
    C:\Program Files\Sony\Sound Forge 7.0\forge10.exe

I deleted Sound Forge 7 from the program file and I ended up with nothing. So I reinstalled 7 and that’s what comes up as my audio editor. Do I need to have Sound Forge 10 in its own file?

    Thanks,
    Ralph Hajik

You don’t need Sound Forge 7 installed. You just need to hit the Browse button under Options | Preferences | Audio and set your editor to Sound Forge 10. The correct path should be:

    C:\Program Files\Sony\Sound Forge Pro 10.0\Forge100.exe

    John,

Thanks for the information. I thought I was missing a little step in what I was doing. Now it’s working.
