  • Opening a newer sequence in an older version of FCP?

Posted by Sat1979 on November 29, 2006 at 2:25 pm

Is there any way to open a sequence that was created in final cut pro 5.1 on a machine running final cut pro 5.0.4?

    Cheers,

Use an XML file from the 5.1. system. That will open in the older system.

With the low cost of the crossgrade, I’d suggest it’s time to upgrade the older system. Not ever going to be less expensive…

    Hi Jerry,

Your advice worked perfectly! I’ll be upgrading shortly in the new year!

    Thanks,

    Tim

You might want to push up your timetable if you haven’t already purchased.

The deal on the upgrade/crossgrade expires on December 20th of this year. You might be very unhappy after that date if you wait to purchase.

Upgrade any time, just get it now!
