  Open letter to Avid. How about introducing a retirement version, for the same price as a student version.

  Dear Avid. I see that you have good offers on the Media Composer software to students and I find it very nice.
  I have a father who has worked as a film editor all his life and for the past 15 years largely cut on Avid.
  He is now retired, but would like to have a version of Media Composer at home, but it is a bit expensive for him.

  How about introducing a retirement version, for the same price as a student version.
