Open in Trimmer — from Timeline — Including Markers & Regions & an indication of cut sections — ‘Demote Media Markers’ script?

Hey Jill,

I was just thinking that this might be accomplished with a script. Here’s how it would work… you run the script on the event before you open it in the trimmer and it will embed any timeline markers or regions in the event. Then you open it in the trimmer and they will be there. Once you close the trimmer you could have another script that promotes the markers and regions in case you changed them while in the trimmer and wanted the timeline to reflect the change.

That would be both sweet and sweet.
The nested projects solution may well serve me well, but a script would be better.

Well Jill… I spoke too soon. I tried to write the script but unfortunately, media markers cannot be added to media. You can only see the ones that are there, but you can’t add more. I’m very sorry; this would have been a good solution to your problem but Sony hasn’t given us this capability in the Script API. 🙁
