    Hi

    Just to clarify something please.

In preferences Open Gl is set as a check box for previews.

Does it only work for previews? Does it actually DO anything when final rendering, e.g. lights with shadows adjustment layers etc, over and above the normal final render if Open GL is unchecked. I cant see the difference on final render.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for all your help
    Anita Sancha.

    from “Render with OpenGL”:

“To enable OpenGL for rendering final output, click the underlined text next to Render Settings in the Render Queue panel, and select Use OpenGL Renderer.”

But I don’t recommend using OpenGL for final renders. OpenGL is good to speed up certain kinds of rendering for previews and interactions, or for creating proxies, but I wouldn’t use it for final output.
