  • Opacity fade out on a boole

    Hey

I need to animate a boole (A subtract B type) over time using opacity, to create the effect of the cutout object fading out over time.

How is this done… I am stumped!

    Can anyone help me?

Inside cinema: Duplicate the object you need to fade out and animate the transparency in the material. The original that is still in the boole turn off visibility in render.

Faster more controlled way is to render the object and the boole version seperate then layer them…and fade one out in post.

    Thanks Randy

I’ll try the first option, that sounds like the most useable way of doing what I am trying to achieve as option 2 would be fine, but I have some pretty heavy fog going in the scene as well and each render takes quite a bit of time.

    Thanks for the help
