3 video tracks. Master shot at the top, pip track 2nd, slides at the bottom.

Got my track motion sorted for the PIP.

Got the ppt timing in place.

Having trouble with my master shot’s opacity.

I wanted to have an envelope that I could bring the master shot in and out – avoiding cutting – just drop a point in and bring up the opacity to face it up.

I can’t seem to creat marks on the opacity line. The fade to colour envelope, well it fades to colour – not to transparent/reveal of the tracks below.

I’m 100% sure that I’m missing something simple – can work around by cutting, but using envelopes seemed like such a quick solution – any chance one of you can reveal the answer?

    Thanks

    Found the Alpha channel.

And all the other – clicking helps, and a couple of glasses of wine and less dealine stress helps more.

    Thanks

Right click in an open area of the track control area, like just under the level fader and insert composite envelope. There will be a blue line at the top of the video in that track. double click on the blue line adds a point. Add points as needed and drag down the areas not wanted to be seen. You can also drag the points left or right in time. Hope this helps. Danny Hays
