Only one of two hard drives showing up from esata port to NexStar docking station
On Stephen Mann’s recommendation I got a NexStar docking station with two hard drive ports, USB 3.0, and esata cables, which worked well with a laptop I was editing on on a remote shoot with USB 3.0. Now that I’m back home and trying to edit on my desktop, at first it didn’t show up at all on my desktop. Now it shows one hard drive, but not the second one. I would try to trouble shoot this more myself but am on a tight deadline and have other work to do, but what’s the deal? How could it detect one hard drive but not the other, when they worked fine a few days ago on my laptop?
I haven’t tried using the USB 3.0, which I’ll try. If that doesn’t work, I’m not going to have much more time to trouble shoot this before I do some major work arounds.
Edit: USB 3.0 works and both hard drives show up, but I’ll try esata again later. Anyone know what the issue could be?
