  Only Dige 1 second

  So I have a brand new hard drive in my new[er] PC. The harddrive is formatted to the typical NTFS settings, however, I did happen to notice that when you look at files in Explorer, they are blue. I’m worried that this could mean some compression scheme is going on, but I’m not sure if that is the case.

  Anyway, whenever I try to digitize to the drive, after 1 second or 1.5 seconds, Premiere stops digitizing….I know that it is a fast drive (3 or 6 GB/s, can’t remember which and 7200 RPM — 1.5 TB WD Internal Black Caviar). Any idea why this keeps happening to this drive only? Is it the blue whatever that is going on, or can it be something else? If it is the blue whatever, how do I change the settings?
