ONLINING HDV 24p footage in FCP 5
I’m having a problem when onlining my HDV footage (shot with a HD100) in FCP 5.1.4. When I reconnect to the m2v files I get a m2v file but at 30 fps (not 29.97 or 24p). Am I doing something wrong or missing a step?
I looked at the original m2v file in Quicktime and all of them are definitely at 23.98 so its not the file. Can someone post their workflow or let me know if they’ve encountered this problem.

you have obviously changed the file in some manner, since FCP will not edit Mpeg, but can edit HDV.
it should not show up as an M2V file but as a .MOV
