online data rates in FCP3? Also print interface question
I’m getting ready to online a movie in FCP3 and OS9. I will be finishing to digibeta via Igniter component interface. I haven’t uprezzed yet, but I’d like to know what data rates I need to use — 8 megs per sec? 1.5 to 1? Fully uncompressed? What data rates do I need to run at to pass QC? My drive choices are Firewire 400 or SCSI Ultra 160. Any referrals to tutorials appreciated.
Also, I think I need Pipeline or some comparable system to print my 5 reels to Digibeta and be able to punch in sections of the Digibeta. Too bad FCP doesn’t output LTC nor chase it. Please recommend. Thanks
