Your losing frames in FCP not cinema. This can be for many many reasons. One that is very common is that your computer cannot handle the file size in real time so it drops frames to make your playback smooth.
I should point out that these dropped frames are not lost…. they just did not play back. So if you are to export this sequence to dvd or mov those frames will be there.
There are options in the top left corner of the time line that lets you define the quality of your playback.

You can find good lists for dropped frames by searching… it can be your format is different than the sequence but then you just need to compare your render settings against the FCP sequence settings.

for “a not bad quality” that my I mac (core 2 duo 3.06mhz / 12 GB ram)

can handle the editing of the C4D sequences on FCP, without drop frame or playback problem on FCP time line

4:3 pal is 768*576 and 16:9 pal 1024*576 (broadcaster should specify what they want.)
Both are 25 fps and should not have fields.

For broadcast I render out tiff (psd layers) 8 bit unless going to heavy compositing. THen I save the tiff sequence as a quicktime animation (full quality) and import that to FCP.

As for playback speed dropped frames don’t matter at all because the frames are still there when you export. However if you need it for some reason there is a botton on the top corner of the timeline that says RT click it and choose the detail level you want…. you can switch back and forth all you want it only effects your viewport not the actual files. Your files will export fine and at 100% resolution.

Your viewport is driven by your graphics card not your ram or processor.
