One audio clip level affects another one…
I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this… and was just wondering if anyone know what was going on. I have an 8 min. timeline fully edited. There are two clips: one is a video clip linked with its stereo-paired audio. The other is a solo mono audio clip that I recorded directly into the timeline as scratch narration. I want to drop the levels of the video clip for right now, but leave them in the timeline so that our sound guy can mix in that audio later for ambient noise… and obviously I want to be able to hear the narration that I recorded. Here’s the thing – when I adjust the video clips audio, it mimics that adjustment on the narration track.. and vice versa. Even stranger, even though these clips seem linked (I didn’t even think linking separate audio clips was possible), both clips don’t become selected when I select one of them. I’ve tried everything I could think of to unlink these clips (except deleting one, since I want both in there…). Any Ideas?
Thanks everyone,
Ben
