    Hey guys!!

    Thanks in advance for looking.

I’m having an interesting issue with Photoshop CS6 and been having the issue for about 2 weeks now. Every time i reopen the software, an image that i worked with a while ago keeps opening automatically. Now, this isn’t really the end of the world, but has become quite an annoyance.

Has anyone heard of, or dealt with this issue?

Wondering if i need to reset my preferences, but would like to avoid that as i have quite a number of custom settings tweaked.

    Thanks

    Eric

I have heard of this, but I’ve never seen a satisfactory solution and I’ve never seen it myself. Easy fix is to move or rename the file and you will probably get an error. Then, trash your prefs and restart PS.

Could be a script or action launching on PS start from that project? I’m guessing here.

    Save early. Save often.

    Hi Eric,

I’ve just fixed this issue on my machine in CS6. If you right click on the tab that opens with the file and find the original location you may find it has been auto recovered.

Remove this auto recovery file and it should be fine.

    Hope this helps!
