    Hi folks,
I hope this is the right forum for this question. I’m using a little Vixia camcorder. I use the Tv setting (i.e. shutter priority at 1/60 sec). So, then, the camera selects the aperture, as well as the Gain (Gain is also on Auto). I’m wondering about the “pecking” order, so to speak. In low light, will the camera first max out the iris (i.e. set it to wide open) before it bumps up the gain? Or, is it possible that the gain is bumped up a little while the iris (automatically) sets itself to less than wide open?
I hope my question is clear.
    Thanks very much.
    Vic
