OMF –files do not link up with media, unclear if they are nested or not
I finally finished a 65 minute film.
I rendered two omfs for the sound engineer to try, one as encapsulated and one as separate audio files.
He said that he couldn´t relink the files that came separately, but he was able to open the omf without problems.
With the capsulated, he said that is was missing sound files. My question is:
I have read that nested sequences can cause problems. How do I know if I have nested sequences? Right now if I right click any of them they give me the option to nest, so I am assuming that these are not nested. I did edit from other sequences, so on my master timeline the names of the clips are names of other timelines, not media names. If my media is nested, how do I unnest? I do not have adobe audition.
I have read other posts about just copying the audio to another timeline but I don´t really seem to be able to replicate that, as the outcome is the same.I am on CS5 (my plan is to upgrade as soon as I finish this project). Sorry for any basic questions, I just came over from avid and never had problems with omfs before.
BTW, I don´t get error messages when I export omfs and it only takes about 5 minutes.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
