    Hey,

I’ve used the combination of a lens flare and polar coordinates to make some cool orbs to make buttons with or whatnot in Photoshop but when I do the exact same in AfterEffects there’s a few void spots, is there a fix for this?

    black layer,
add a Lens Flare in the top right quadrant with the first setting (50-300mm Zoom in PS)
add a Polar Coordinates and use Polar to Rectangular
    rotate the canvas 180degrees
add a Polar Coordinates and use the Rectangular to Polar
    and voila, a cool orb.

this can be used in AE and PS but in AE there’s a few voids…???

    any ideas?

Instead of Polar Coordinates, I use up to three instances of the Lens FLare. Then nest that and add a circular mask, some blur, curves. Works quite well and doesn’t ‘break down’.
