Old iMac with new Blackmagic Designs Converter
Hey all,
iMac Retina 5k late 2014 High Sierra
Premiere Pro CC 2018
Blackmagic MicroConverter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI (3G)
Panasonic BT-LH2600WPHi all, I’m just cutting HD on my iMac so my machine is pretty capable BUT I just bought a BM Bidirectional Microconverter and it’s not doing what I hoped. Want to be able to run thunderbolt adapter to HDMI to microconverter to SDI to Panny monitor.
So far, all I’ve been able to do is mirror my desktop without isolating my program monitor out. In addition, I’m stuck changing my computer display to 1080i to use this converter. Anyone set this thing up successfully with Premiere?
I think I’m asking:
1.) Can I run my computer display (PP editing interface at 5k) and my external SDI monitor display (program monitor playback at 1080i) independently of one another in my current configuration or do I need a separate video card?
2.) Why is Premiere not “Seeing” my monitor in the “Playback”” menu.Sincerely,
Amateur Hour
