Just wondering – I remember the days when I used bass and treble knobs on the hi-fi (I know I am dating myself), I wonder if Sony Vegas can tweak my audio track with similar controls – my video is a lecture and I want to “sharpen” the sound – it’s a bit muffled….thank you

There is an equalizer built in to Vegas. Right click on the event and add ExpressFX Equalization.

The “Track EQ” added automatically on every audio track is sort of like this. 1 = Bass, 2 = Low Mid, 3 = High Mid , 4 = Treble.
The good thing about it, though, it that it’s more versatile in that you can change the frequency each sits on and you can also change the “width” each one covers – so it can cover a very narrow or very wide frequency range.
This is like the EQ built into our professional sound board. Four frequencies (Low, Low Mid, High Mid, High), can change the frequencies (frequency), and can specify how narrow or wide each one affects (Q).
