Okay, I’m really having a hard time with Vegas here
Are there any good websites for BASIC instructions on how to do things in Vegas 6?
I’m trying to create a SIMPLE movie, just join a few clips together, place them in a timeline, add some text, add some sound and put it out.
Nice and simple right, well took me a while to work out how to trim the movie (but (not too bad) then trying to add text? What is up with that? I can add credits (although they don’t show?) I can add text (although it doesn’t show and I can’t get it to move?)
Am I just being REALLY REALLY DENSE here? It just seems to be WAY more complicated than any of the prior “idiot” video software I’ve used.

Try reading my newsletters – especially the “Beginner’s Corner” series of articles.

Just drag the clips to the timeline. Press “S” to split between the wanted and unwanted pieces, and delete the unwanted pieces. Simply butt the clips together for cuts or overlap them for transitions.
To add a title, add another video track above the current track and drop a text generated media on that new track.
To add sound, just drag the audio to the timeline area.
