August 11, 2017 at 9:04 pmWhat frame rate is your master timecode set to (top one). 720p is Media Composer still relies a lot on legacy tape formats which were only 59.94p and 23.976 frames were tracked with pulldown. Master counts should have a choice of different frame rates.
And what project type are you in? 23.976 or 59.94?

August 11, 2017 at 9:46 pmThe Panasonic P2 cameras could record 720p 23.98…23.98 actual frames per second. But the media would be ID’d as “DVCPRO HD 720p60.” Because that’s the format…the standard for 720p is 720p60…but the FRAME RATE would be something else.
Like 1080…. a lot of metadata will refer to it as 1080i60, even though it plays at 23.98…because in that case, pull down might havr been removed. But the standard at the time for 1080 was 1080i60…like the standard for 720p is 720p60. THat was just the format…then after that, you’d get the frame rate.
Just odd metadata shenanigans.

August 12, 2017 at 1:04 amWhen I am in a 720p/23.976 project type, the master timecode works fine and rolls over at :23 as expected.
