Has anyone else had “encode fail” pop up at every attempt to transcode in any way? No luck at all for me transcoding .avi’s
Also, is there a quality or other difference between mpeg2 or h264?
I’m building h264’s right now before I send to Encore. Hoping for the best….

….the h.264s worked, but the footage is very interlaced or at least looks like it is (bright footage produces lines).

I am a fairly new Encore user and having problems of my own with the H.264 audio and video file not being in sync when the bluRay is finalized, but I have had the same problem with Encore initially. I eventually used the Matrox Compress HD card to encode the file using Mac’s Compressor. Not sure if you are on a Mac or Windows, but you may want to use an alternate option to encode your file…..Hope I was of some help.
