    Hi all.
I have a full-res DV timeline in FCP that I needed to insert some new b-roll in, but these shots are currently in offlineRT codec. How do I select only the offline clips and recapture only these without having the deck recapture the whole master clips. Basically, I’ve inserted 10 seconds of extra footage, but upon doing a batch capture for the offline clips, FCP’s telling me it is going to capture two hours (the full master clips).

    What to do?

    Thx.

Put the clips in their own sequence. Select the sequence and control click on it to open the media manager. From there select Make Offline, set the codec to DV, and select to create a new project file and also select Delete unused media (add handles if you like). Then recapture the new sequence it will make.
