Off topic – Beta Deck Question – Need help
Since many AE people are advanced in the entire production field I thought I might ask this question here.
Sony UVW1800 is giving an error code of 02-111
The problem is it won’t accept a tape in to the slot.
This has happened after shipping.Thanks a lot, Carl

Are you definitely inserting a Betacam SP tape, and not a Digital Betacam or an older standard Betacam tape? The UVW decks only accept BetaSP tapes and will reject any others.

Some models of Betacam decks had a sticker under the top lid that describes how to access the hidden operations or diagnostics menus. They come up on the window output. Sorry, been an awfully long time since I looked under mine.

Figured it out. There was a case screw sticking in to far blocking the tape from going in.
