Odd Vertical Interlacing-ish footage
I got this footage from an old project that I need to edit. It was filmed in DVCpro25 by a very inexperienced production house. They gave it to me in 4:3 dvcpro and it was filmed in 16:9. I re-compressed the footage into pro res 422 16:9 and fixed that problem. In both raw 4:3 and re-compressed I have this odd vertical interlacing.
It’s literally up and down interlacing-ish looking. That’s best way to explain it. I threw it into color ran interlacing, de-interlacing, gain removing, and other filters to test out a fix. I then took it to motion so it was vectored and ran some filters that way. I can not remove this issue.
Again, in-experianced filmers, they recorded with vertical blinds in the background so I know this is part of the addition to it’s weird look. But I am getting this look across the subject in the editor and it looks worse on dvd tests. This has to go to air in 50 states so I am trying to figure out this issue.
I uploaded photo’s so you can see. If anyone has suggestions please fill me in on anything you can think of, please.
Thank you
