  • Odd glitch with stills when using Ray Trace engine

Hi I’ve got a comp using the ray trace 3d engine for the purpose of extruded text. I have an odd reoccurring glitch that I can’t seem to fix with some layers that are sill images precomped. I’ve swapped out jpgs for pngs and tried cleaning out the memory cache but this glitch remains in my previews and renders.

The glitch is like the stills seem to flutter into dithered dots to total white and back like a bad tv signal. See screen cap.

    Anyone have suggestions?

Are those layers at the same depth as some other layer? Try moving them a pixel or two closer to the camera.
