I’m having an odd problem with audio output on a Premier Pro CS3 project. Audio Track 1 is the main stereo track and is a single contiguous WAV file from a mix. Track 2 has some tone at the head and a one frame tail sync beep but otherwise empty. The last audio track is the Master of course.

If I LOCK all three tracks, (the Lock icons, not the speaker toggle icons), I don’t get any audio out. If I UNLOCK any of the tracks I get audio. Restarting Premiere or even the system makes no difference. The system is a MacPro running XP, Ser.Pack 3 and using a BlackMagic Design MultiBridge Pro (using the 6.8.3 drivers) and the DeckLink Audio.

I’ve forced a rebuild of the preview files and have the same issue but it’s ONLY on this project. All other projects work as expected.

Fortunately I can simply unlock just the Master track as there’s nothing in it that can get accidentally changed, but I’d like to understand what’s really going on to cause this.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Mark
