    Hey guys,

im pretty new to cinema 4d and i have this question that i cannot find on the internet at all.

Its i have created a scene with alot of objects…but thats not the problem the problem is when i go to use the bend deformer. when i apply the bend deformer (or any deformer) you then have to put the bend deformer underneath the object you want (so you parent it ..or what ever its called) the problem is when i go to move the deformer in the object manager underneath the object i want to use it for i cannot .. in fact i cannot move any objects in the object manager it just come s up with that restricted sign ( you know the one, the 0 with a line through it) ..

does anyone know how or why this is happening and how i can over come it??

    hi Brenton,

i just had a similar problem. is it possible that you had under View > ‘flat tree’ selected?
i unchecked it and could then parent things once again. you’ve probably moved on from that
project by now but maybe it will be useful in the future!
