Object and shadow with transparent background
Hi
Im trying to make a still image of an object with a transparent background. I know how to do this, you save it with alpha channel and in photoshop you select it and extract it from the image. But i want the objects shadow that shows in the floor to also be included. So when i would extract the alpha channel it would leave the object and the shadow to the layer and make the background transparent. I know that you can make separate layers using multipass but im not sure how…

Eanble the shadow pass in render>multipass options, set a file path where you want to save the multipass file. Knock out the BG as you normally would. Put the shadow pass on top of your layers and set the mode to multiply.
