NX5U Rebate
Ok, I’ve got the camera, LOVE it, updated the firmware to 4.0, found out that the ‘FREE’ Sony Vega Pro s/w won’t run on my iMac and now am trying to find the site to fill out the online Rebate for to send in.
HELP!! The site on the form, https://www.sony.com/NX5Upromo, returns an error code 404: file or folder not found.
Has anyone just purchased the NX5U and had success filling out the online rebate form? This is the April 1-June30 $400 rebate.
No one at Sony can seem to get me that info and I’ve talked to most everyone, at least twice.

It looks like the rebate link goes to a third party processor. Their server is down.
I would try a couple times a day for the next couple days.
If you want, contact the distributor you bought it from and harrass them to harrass Sony. That might get it fixed a little faster.

SUCCESS!!! Ok, first of all, here’s the number for the Professional Video Camera department that handles the NX5U and where I got my info: 866-766-9272.
Next, don’t bother calling 866.838.0421 or 866.881.1114 for the Rebate Dept as they just ring and ring and finally disconnect 🙁
