    Hello All,
I just purchase the Sony NX5U and working with Vegas 8. I am using an SD card to record to. When I put my SD card in a card reader Vegas does not recognize any of the clips. It all looks as if my computer does not either. I have a I3 chip with 2 gigs of DDR3 ram.

I even tried to convert it using Adobe Media Encoder. I got video but a loud hiss for audio.

Can anyone help me? I want to edit in HD and burn in HD.

    Chris

Hi Chris, i don’t have the NX5, but I would assume that Vegas 8 does not recognize AVCHD files. My suggestion would be to upgrade to Vegas 9d which supports the new format.

    Just read you post…

I was able to go under ‘preferences’ in vegas 8 and check the box that had ‘enable xdcam’. Everything seems to be working now. You have to use the utility program that came with the camera to import first.
