  nVidia Quadro 4000 for Mac (a.k.a., the elephant in the room)

  With the GTX285 discontinued, and the FX4800 expected to follow, it seems that soon our only option will be the forthcoming Quadro 4000 (which according to the BMD ships in Nov.). Can anyone from Blackmagic comment on the performance of this card vs. the previous models? Certainly, someone has it in beta testing somewhere.

  A look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NVIDIA_Quadro shows exacting technical comparisons between these cards, but I won’t presume to interpret this data with respect to how Resolve will take advantage of it (i.e., clock speed vs. memory bandwidth vs. Cuda cores). I’m pretty sure, however, that more Cuda = good.
