NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL for after effects?
Is the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL that much quicker than the Radion the G5s ship with? Im needing to do some pretty heavy 3d work in after effects.
Has anyone used both of these cards back to back as it were?

Actually the ATI X800 XT is faster for most things.

Unless you must have two 30″ Cinema Displays (only the GF6800 can do that) and / or want maximum fps in Doom 3 – otherwise the X800 is cheaper, cooler, quieter and smaller (so it doesn’t block the closest PCI slot which the 6800 does)
Just bear in mind that currently After Effect’s OpenGL usage isn’t that optimized anyway, hopefully that will change with AE7.cheers

So, as AE7 aint out yet, you got any tips on optimising a 3d scene in AE 6.5 to save on render times/make previews less painful?
Im looking at building a 3d and moving the camera around it.
