Yes it was Patrick – I am sorry for that, and I do share your frustration. However, many folks around the Cow will tell you that I was one of the very first here to promote the use of clones as a preventative measure for exactly these kinds of issues, and it frustrates me that after years of restating the same warning I still haven’t reached everyone with the message.
In any case, it’s really unfortunate, but even the best software and hardware manufactures do, from time to time, release screwy driver and software updates that cripple editing systems that can bring a facility to it’s knees. Preventative measures really must be in place 100% of the time or you will get hosed.
In any case, if there’s anything I can do I’ll do my best to help you and any others. In the meantime, I hope you’re able to get your systems back up ASAP.

January 23, 2015 at 1:20 amI am having this issue as well on a 2014 Retina MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.2.
CUDA drivers went through TWO updates on the SAME DAY (1/14), 6.5.36 & 6.5.37 — even though the pref panel does not yet see the .37 — and neither solves this problem!
Any news from Adobe/nvidia about a fix?
Has anyone gone back to Mavericks … and did it fix the problem?
This is making me lose many hours of productivity.

January 23, 2015 at 9:50 pmHi,
Our support reps say that the NVIDIA 6.5.37 drivers solve the issue for most OS X 10.10 Yosemite users. You may want to reinstall those drivers. Thanks,

January 26, 2015 at 11:22 pmI have been getting this same problem intermittently with Premiere Pro CC. I am on a late 2012 iMAC,
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MBI am on Mountain Lion, so it is not an isolated Yosemite problem. I use OpenCL, not CUDA because I found many other unrelated problems CUDA, so I uninstalled it. The issue DID happen with CUDA though. The problem usually presents itself when Premiere Pro is dealing with Text or doing something that is a bit complicated, like a long export with a lot of Red Giant Denoiser clips. The glitches remain on the screen even after I close out Premiere Pro and will dissipate if i just let the computer sit for awhile or restart.

January 28, 2015 at 7:46 pmMy testing has been very positive with Mac OS 10.10.2 and CUDA driver 6.5.45. More testing is needed but so far I’ve been unable to get the system into a bad state.
If you guys continue to run into graphics issues please let us know.
Thanks!

February 4, 2015 at 1:42 amHi Peter, I’m still having issues. After installing the new updates it seemed as though it went away but unfortunately it’s returned after importing some new footage into Premiere. Any suggestions? Will adobe be releasing any updates soon to fix the problem?
Thanks,
Patrick -

February 6, 2015 at 11:32 pmHi Patrick,
Sorry I responded to another thread about this issue and missed your post here. I’ve also encountered this issue with 10.10.2 and 6.5.46.
Adobe, Apple and NVIDIA are aware that the problem is still occurring and will continue to work on getting it fixed.
If this issue is blocking you, you can try uninstalling the CUDA driver.
Best,
Peter Garaway

February 6, 2015 at 11:36 pmThanks Peter,
I uninstalled cuda and am not having the graphics problems I was previously. Hope all parties can come up with a solution soon. I’ll be keeping an eye out for new updates.
Cheers!
Patrick
