numbers effect but with text?
Posted by Heather Crank on September 14, 2007 at 2:25 pmHello All,
I am trying to find a VERY QUICK way to make text change/move like numbers do when I apply the text numbers effect. Any suggestions????!!!
Thank you!

September 14, 2007 at 2:42 pmthis was from the help menu for examples of text animation. it shows how to use offset characters, which sounds like what you want to do…
Create a new composition.
Create a new text layer with the word Galaxy.
Choose Animation > Animate Text > Character Offset.
In the Timeline panel, set the Character Offset value to 5.
Expand Range Selector 1.
Click the Start stopwatch to set an initial keyframe at 0 seconds and set the value to 0%.
Move the current-time indicator to 5 seconds and set the Start value to 100%.
Set Character Alignment to Center.
Preview the composition.hope that helps.
