    Select the clip

Use the “.” To nudge forward, use the “,” to nudge backward.

Doesn’t this just move the clip? I believe the question is about nudging the range selected?

In that case I would select the clip. Hold the option key and drag out one frame ata time on either end.

Also found this great apple doc.

Basically, you are either nudging (moving an entire clip) or trimming (changing the duration of a clip buy one or more frames)

I think the OP might be asking for a Nudge/trim feature. 🙂

    In the Timeline-
Use up/down arrows to jump to the desired edit point, select the edge of the clip you want to trim with left/right bracket, nudge the selected edit point with period/comma.

Is that what you’re looking for?

I realized you must be referring to nudging the I/O point of a range selection, I was referring to nudging the ends of an actual clip.

[James Ewart] “nudge in and out points a frame at a time in browser”

In the browser, use the left/right arrow (cursor) keys to move forward or backward 1 frame at a time. Park on the desired frame and hit I or O again for a new in/out mark.

that does not work for moving in and out points in browser here.

but i want to nudge one frame at a time – dragging is less accurate.

don’t work for me does it for you. One frame nudge in point? Or out point?

Got it thanks – shift I takes me to in point and then arrow and then hit I again. Bit boring having two steps
