    hello
    i have 2 questions
    what do i do if i have footage that is PAL (I’m working on NTSC project)
    2- i have digitized and edited footage that was shot anamorphic and now after finished editing i print t to tape i don’t get the 16:9 mask i get a stretched picture . what do i do ?

    You will need to convert your PAL stuff to NTSC. You will need something like along these lines:

    There’s a bunch out there – perhaps someone else on the forum can recommend some good ones. I don’t use standards conversion much myself, but I have been happy with the stuff I have purchased from Nattress in the past.

    As for your 16×9 footage… The stretch is actually the “correct” way of getting 16×9 to tape. The anamorphic stretch is corrected upon playback to the correct aspect ratio. If you want to letterbox your image when putting it down to tape, you can make a new sequence which is 4×3, and then drop your 16×9 cut into that sequence – FCP will automatically arc the cut and letterbox it. Put that down to tape.

    hey Enzo thanks for your reply
    i made a new sequence not anamorphic and dragged my master sequence into that new one but nothing changed. am i missing anything?
