NTSC DV footage into a NTSC DV WIDESCREEN comp…
hey everyone…
i’m having a little trouble here.
i’m on AE CS3.
from what i understand…when you hit TOGGLE ASPECT RATIO CORRECTION,
it shows you what it’d look like on an actual TV screen right?ok…so…we’re doing a demo reel for our company and needs to be in NTSC DV Widescreen, but…i have a lot of footage that was just recorded in regular DV (0.9).
so my question is…what as i suppose to do with those 0.9 files?
do i interpret them to 1.2??
or do i just leave them alone and bring them into the comp just like that?because…i was fooling around with it, and when i DIDN’T interpret the footage, it looked squeezed, but when i toggled the pixel aspect ratio correction, it looked perfect.
BUT
when i DID interpret the 0.9 footage to 1.2, it looked REALLY stretched when i toggled the ratio correction.
so….what IS exactly the right way to use 0.9 footage in a Widescreen project?
thanx a bunch,
_chris
